At Friends of Zimbabwe, we receive all kinds of donated items to sell at markets and online, helping us raise funds for our projects. While clothing is our most common donation, today we received something special—two bicycles! 🚴♂️🚴♀️

Together for clean water in Chivhu, Zimbabwe
Starting from March this year, we’re joining forces with Elckerlyc School in Leiderdorp to raise funds for a borehole in Chivhu, Zimbabwe. Due to the ongoing drought, the water table in many boreholes in the region has dropped significantly, leaving the community without access to clean water.
This urgent issue needs outside help to make a difference. By supporting this project, you can provide crucial relief for students and their families, making a significant and lasting impact. Let’s come together to bring hope and essential access to water to Chivhu!

Progress on teachers' accommodations
We are excited to share that, as mentioned in our previous updates, the roof has been completed for the teachers’ accommodations! 🏠 The next steps involve installing water and electricity, as well as fitting the accommodations with showers, toilets, door frames and window frames.
However, to achieve this, we still need additional support. Your help will be essential in ensuring that the teachers have comfortable living conditions, allowing them to focus on their vital work.
