King’s Day success!
We are incredibly proud to share that this year’s King’s Day (Koningsdag) was a huge success! During the free market in Leiderdorp, we raised €462. Our highest King’s Day total so far.
It was truly a fantastic day filled with positivity, community spirit, and generosity. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who donated items. Without your contributions, this would not have been possible. A big thank you as well to all the volunteers who helped make the day run so smoothly.
The full amount raised will directly contribute to our next project: the realization of flushing toilets at Chambara Clinic. This is an important step toward improving hygiene and healthcare conditions.
And we’re not stopping here! Next up: the May 5th market in Oegstgeest this coming Tuesday. Will we see you there? You can find us on the main street (Terweeweg 45), between Langevoort and Kempenaerstraat, diagonally opposite the Gevers-Deutz Terweeschool
Come by and say hi!
Thank you all for your continued support!
€2,500 contribution from Wereldwinkel Dordrecht completes funding for borehole project
This week, we had the pleasure of visiting Wereldwinkel Dordrecht for a presentation about our work and the planned borehole project at Chambara Clinic. We are very grateful to share that Wereldwinkel Dordrecht contributed €2,500.
Together with a €4,500 donation from Stichting DAS, a €250 contribution from Vis van het Hof and the proceeds from the sale of goods, we have now reached the full amount needed to realize this project.
This allows us to move forward with an 80-meter deep borehole with a solar pump and panels and a 15,000-liter elevated water tank. Click here to read more about our next project.
We sincerely thank everyone who helped us reach this important milestone.
Our goal: €8,250
A generous donation from Elckerlyc School Leiderdorp
We have recently received a generous donation from Elckerlyc School in Leiderdorp: 40 Chromebooks and a complete charging trolley. We are extremely thankful for this valuable support.
The equipment is intended for a school in Chivhu, where it will contribute significantly to improving access to digital education. Once delivered, the Chromebooks will help students gain essential digital skills and open new learning opportunities.
We sincerely thank Elckerlyc School for their generosity and their commitment to equal educational opportunities. Donations like these bring us one step closer to our mission: creating better futures through education.
