65-metre borehole provides reliable clean water for the clinic
The clinic now has a reliable source of clean water thanks to a new 65-metre borehole, a 5,000-litre water tank and a solar-powered pump.
The previous shallow well often ran dry during dry periods and was more vulnerable to contamination. This new water system is a major step towards a more sustainable and reliable water supply for the clinic.
A new beginning for the clinic’s sanitation facilities
The clinic now has two flush toilets, two showers and a washbasin — a major improvement from the simple latrine that was previously available.
These new facilities improve hygiene, comfort and dignity, especially for women giving birth at the clinic.
20 blankets instead of 10 ❤️
When we learned that the clinic was short of blankets for patients staying overnight, we launched a small fundraising campaign with a goal of 10 blankets.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we were able to double that goal and purchase 20 blankets. We also discovered that the clinic had been without paracetamol for months. With just $25, we were able to provide 1,000 paracetamol tablets for children and adults.
Small things can make a big difference when they are needed most. ❤️
